Born and raised in the San Fernando Valley, Maria is an artist that thrives on connectivity. Learning and observing from others, she tends to create artwork from those around. Creating explicit art and various visuals is one of the many capabilities that is pronounced among the work. Graduating from Otis College of Art in Design, Maria can be found within the Illustration department.

Radiating a luminous glow, this project was focused on the beauty within. The glow that we all carry within us, whether we see it or not. Consisting of various origami flowers, as well as synthetic; this light is made up of all kinds of beauty.

Skating, beer bottles, ripped shoes, love and trauma; some of the many things that greatly impacted my life. The variety of components that are included within this piece each represent my life growing up. We all go through the hardships of life, and we all grow from it.

When it comes to choosing a new deck, skateboarders have the ability to choose a design on their board that represents themselves. Collecting used beaten down skateboards adds authenticity to the design. These different boards each represent their past owners in some way.
