This project proposes the redesign of an existing building located at 556 Broadway in Downtown Los Angeles. The building will hold both co-living and co-working spaces, with multiple shared amenities for its residents. There are 18 living units on the top two levels in different sizes to accommodate a wide range of residents. The main feature of this building is a void throughout its entirety. The void creates an open area for sustainable gardens as well as work spaces. There are many benefits to sustainable gardening beside availability of the produce to residents, including less reliance on watering and chemical or pesticide use.
