A Message from the Chair

The Fashion Design Department’s foundation is built on creativity, relevance, and innovation. Our department prides itself on developing accomplished professional fashion designers by cultivating strong relationships within the fashion industry. The program’s unique signature is the opportunity to learn directly from Mentors, a title bestowed on notable fashion industry professionals and costume designers who generously share their expertise with students.

The 2022 Annual Exhibition showcases the talent and creativity of the Class of 2022. With this year’s show theme, Agents of Change, students focused on examining the essential topic of sustainability and the environmental impacts of the apparel industry. By changing the perception around waste, focusing on responsible materials and innovation in recrafting in new ways, Fashion Design students conceived leading-edge solutions to foster ecological integrity and consciousness.
