A Message from the Chair

Welcome to Environmental Design’s virtual and physical 2022 Annual Exhibition! In the past 22 years, Environmental Design Seniors have designed, fabricated, assembled, and installed 20 unique design/build environments for Otis’s Annual Exhibition in their required course, Constructions. In 2020 and 2021, when the COVID-19 pandemic precluded physical exhibitions, Seniors designed unique, complex installations that were represented virtually.

We are thrilled that Seniors can build a full-scale, physical installation once again, the first built installation in three years! Environmental Design’s Class of 2022 installation, SLINK will open in-person to the public on Saturday, May 14, noon to 9:00 p.m. in Ahmanson Hall Room 510. SLINK will feature large-scale, back-lit prints, and slideshows of the Seniors studio projects.

Environmental Design’s Awards for Excellence in Design will be presented publicly on Saturday, May 14 in Ahmanson Hall Room 507 and via Zoom, at 7:00 p.m! Join us in-person or on Zoom at zoom.us/join; Meeting ID = 755 354 3714.
