All children should feel that their world is a safe place where people care about them and their needs... when these needs are met, children can develop a sense of belonging.
A sense of belonging has been found to help protect children against mental health problems and improve their learning. Children who feel that they belong are happier”
I created dolls with books on their realistic migration stories to provide representation and awareness so that these kids feel seen. When this happens, they can feel comfort, love, and security in their new home.
That's how Anomalies came to be; kids who have had to leave their homes often feel like anomalies, like outcasts, alone. By acknowledging their feelings and providing a doll with a similar backstory to theirs, they can relate and feel seen using it as a way to heal their pain.

More often than not dog toys are not made to catch the attention of dogs but rather their owners, who purchase them. While they are fun at first, most dogs become quickly bored of some toys if they're not what they love.
It's also common for dog toys to be ruined within a few hours, if a new toy is purchased every day not only does it quickly become expensive, but there is also a lot of waste.
Monster Mutts. A natural rubber toy that is great for your pet and the planet. With various combinations that are totally customizable, this toy will be a fetch! Featuring tasty treats such as Himalayan Yak chews and crinkly hemp fabric strips, this toy is sure to get tails wagging and many appaws.

About the Artist
Hey! I'm Keila :)
Mr. Rogers helped me understand what design is for, helping people. I struggled to find my focus throughout my time studying at Otis College of Art & Design because I was so overwhelmed by all the possible career paths. It wasn't until I listened to a podcast on Fred Rodgers that I realized what I was meant to do, design for a better world.
My work has a strong cultural influence through materials, users, and needs. I find myself drawn to projects for those who need it the most.
"If you could only sense how important you are to the lives of those you meet; how important you can be to the people you may never even dream of."
- Fred Rogers.
