About the Artist
Dionna Sharay Smith is an artist who utilizes photography documenting daily life experiences through past and present surroundings captured or appropriated from a moment in time. Her work is a hybrid between discovery and enlightenment sophisticatedly presented through portraits and landscapes. Often times questioning the complexities of existence and being. While most recently diving into writing, she intersects cultural subject matters with existential questioning.
To go along with her constant investigation, the gesture of image and text engages viewers consciously, intending to shift perspectives and spaces.
Currently, Dionna is resting/working/sustaining her art practice while building Thee Smithington a creative consulting firm as the Founder and lead consultant.
