To serve as a more affordable alternative to headstones, I created a poster series that could be placed into vase slots at cemeteries. In addition, headstones don't effectively communicate the life someone has lived, only documenting the date of birth and the date of passing. A poster that acts as a scroll is a more affordable alternative to headstones and is more effective at documenting someone's life.
About the Artist
Hello, I’m Daniel Ordoñez, a salvadoran american graphic designer born and raised in southern California. As a designer I do my best to visualize the connection between people, emotion and a subject. In doing this my personal work is influenced by my experiences, creating a piece that is authentic in hopes that viewers can connect with the work and take a closer look. Other works I create can be described as bright, organic, soft and expressive. I am excited to collaborate with others moving forward in my professional career as a graphic designer, creating work for many communities to enjoy.
