YUXA

YUXA
Involving consumers in the creation process allowing them to experiment and build a more meaningful relationship with the object. In the process, each chair will become unique to the user, and it may open new possibilities and show how it can be used unconventionally—making it an “art installation” rather than another chair.
  • YUXA skeleton
Hydroforming uses high-pressure hydraulic fluid to press room temperature working material into a die. We can achieve lightweight parts through that process while having structural stiffness and achieving complex shapes.
  • YUXA wrapped
  • Mechanism
Materials go through the slit and then being secured by adjustable parts located at the bottom of the frame and on the back.
  • Variations
The adjustments were designed in a way that allows constant change of materials. Making it adaptable and ensuring longevity.
  • Tool Box
With every purchased chair, customers will get a starting kit. It includes two spools of nylon straps chosen by the customer and a key for assembling the chair and adjusting the parts. The box itself will also be tailored to the chair color that is being purchased to provide a more high-end experience.
  • Frame color variation
In the future, more colorways will be available, including a variety of materials and finishes. Possible application of the concept to other household objects. Variety in models and interchangeable adjusting parts will open up new possibilities for customizing.
