Boundless is a series of abstract paintings of landscapes and figures that transcend time and space by blurring obvious signs of linearity and horizontality. This transcendence is inspired by the artist's identity and experience in the ocean and her psychological, emotional, and physical struggles in and out of the water. Open spaces, whether it be the boundless sky when we look out the airplane window or the ray of light when we look up from water, seem to go on for an infinite amount of time and space. We don't know where we stand in these spaces. What is real and what is not? It's liberating yet uncomfortable. The artist is fascinated by this idea and created Boundless to capture this ambiguity as the only dimension of reality.
