About
My name is Genesis, I'm a nice gal and I design with comfort, durability, and sustainability in mind. I’m an artist with a powerful drive to help save the world. Let’s face it, the industry needs to approach design from a more compassionate angle. I am 1000% dedicated to this vision of a healthier planet. “I don’t believe in war, I don’t believe in passports or borders. I believe that all of the earth belongs to everyone, and I want to represent that idea through my work.” - Maurizio Donadi

Creatures of Comfort line-up
I think this lineup demonstrates the range I can work up to.
  • The American frontier
This Collection is inspired by the American frontier, and the protective garments they would wear. I took inspiration from old photographs of cowboys and loved how practical and rugged they were. I mixed the old silhouettes with contemporary ones suitable for modernity.
  • Russian Avant garde hemp collection
This daywear collection is made from entirely hemp blend fabrics. The graphics are inspired by Kazimir Malevich's paintings.
  • Sesame Street!
This collection is meant to be a homage to the beginnings of Sesame Street in the 70's. I pulled silhouettes from the era and combined them with contemporary, trending shapes and materials. Each outfit references a character from the show.
  • Collection inspired by ocean conservation
This collection is inspired by ocean conservation, the shapes are pulled from the organic patterns phytoplankton blooms create when the ocean is too warm. I worked from a satellite image of a phytoplankton bloom.
  • Examples of hand sketches
Here are some quick hand sketches, I drew them in under 20 mins.
  • Creatures of Comfort full line up
I was inspired by the notion of a post-pandemic society, and the natural inclination towards nostalgia and comfort by human beings. All of these designs are made from recycled and found materials, a comment on the importance of recycling in the future.
  • Twins
This double jumpsuit is made from vintage sweaters and dead stock materials. I was inspired by my experiences during the lockdown, and working with a partner while protecting ourselves from the virus.
  • The road to genderless denim.
This design is meant to be totally genderless and 100% upcycled. Both models are wearing the same size. I think this project defines the direction I want to head in.
  • Silk lace jump suit.
This is a silk charmeuse bodysuit with a long detachable scarf. This design was inspired by the beach at golden hour and was designed to be loose and flowy.
